How do the activities work?
Troka Abentura works with Multi-Adventure activities and we offer you the possibility to design your own activity day. We organize our work in half days, morning, afternoon or night. For every half day you can choose a maximum of 2 activities (the combination must be suitable). For the zip wire the group must be over 15 people. Surf and climbing lessons, trekking and Butron river trip are not combinable because they have half day duration.
How long do the activities last?
PWhen we talk about half day activities we are talking about 3 hours and 30 minutes duration activities. During this period reception, share out materials, a briefing and the activity will be done. Timetables are next ones: morning 10.00-13.30, afternoon 15.30-19.00 and night 20.00-23.00. We can change this timetables due to different reasons like tides or if you contact us asking for it.
Is it prior experience necessary?
All our activities are initiation activities, so prior experience is not necessary. In water-activities must know how to swim.
What do I have to take with me?
All technical equipment for the activities is included in the price, in each activity document we inform you about it. For land activities you must take with you sport clothes and clothes suitable for the climatology. For water-activities you must take with you swimming suit, towel and sandals or shoes that can be worn underwater. When the sun beats down we recommend you to bring sun glasses or cap.
What is included in the price?
The activity, technical materials needed, the guides, 8% VAT and required insurances.
Is there any kind of insurance?
All activities are covered by Civil Responsibility Insurance (Seguro de Responsabilidad Civil), agreed with AXA Company. The policy number is 1060576. We also offer you Travel Insurance agreed with AXA Company and 1059414 policy number. Both insurances fulfil legally required covers and quantities.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We recommend you to wear suitable clothes. If meteorology conditions do not add risk to the activities (alerts from official forecast), Troka Abentura will provide you all equipment needed to enjoy the activity in safety conditions.
Where can I have lunch or dinner?
Close to our Activities Centre there are many places that will fit different kind of budgets and needs. To consult our list of places wherefrom eating.
Where can I sleep?
In our Principal Activities Centre we manage a Youth Hostel, with 55 beds. You can also take rest in different services in the surroundings; camping, bungalows, rural guesthouses, hotels,…. To consult our list where you could sleep
What is the process for booking?
If you want to book any activity described in “buy online” section, you just have to follow all instructions given in the web page, you will have your booking form done.
If you want information about the activity or you want to book an activity not described in “buy online” section, you can contact our Booking Centre by phone, by fax or filling in a form you will find in the web, please include in the form all information needed to have the possibility to give you a better answer.
Once we have agreed the activities with you and the booking form is filled in we will send you the booking form. The booking will be confirmed once you do a payment of a deposit fee (25% of total services), unless agreed otherwise on booking. After doing a down payment, form will have a Contract character between both parts. The rest amount of the payment must be done before the activity starts.
Online form, complete payment?
We continue walking and we have taken a step forward in the quality of our services, now we offer you the possibility to buy activities just following all instructions given in the web. In the BOOKING ON LINE section you will find our activities proposals and you will be able to buy them directly. Just follow the instructions given and once you finish all steps you will have the activity paid and booked, that is all. Easier is impossible.
What else can I do in the area?
Our Principal Activities Centre is situated in a pretty environment, next to a big beach where you will be able to rest after taking part in our activities. You also can visit Gorliz and Plentzia towns. 11 kilometres from us you can visit Butron Castle (only outdoors), one of the few medieval jewels in Bizkaia. There are many tourist resources not far from us: Bilbao is 27 kilometres far and it offers many cultural and gastronomic options, Basque Coast with pretty beaches and cliffs, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and Gorbea and Urkiola Natural Parks.
